What is Altered?

In Altered, you play as the Hero of one of the 6 Factions of the game. Sent on an expedition, you and your Companion are to be the first to rediscover what happened to the Earth, after the Confluence, a magical storm, merged the imaginary world and ours. Altered brings a lot of new elements to the world of trading card games. With its non-combat based gameplay, Altered is easy to learn and still offers a lot of strategic depth. What are Unique Cards?

Unique cards are algorithmically generated, which means their stats, mana costs and other text rules or faction (one of the two factions from the Rare versions) will vary from one to another. There can be multiple copies of a unique card from the same family, but all with a different generation of stats and rules. All unique cards are purely unique. The generated one you own will never be found elsewhere in the exact same combination of family and stats/rules etc.

What are Foiler Cards?

A Foiler is a card with a QR code that you can scan in order to register it in your collection. Foilers exist in each rarities: Common, Rare and Unique. You can redeem a Foiler of the corresponding rarity to foil any card in your collection and all the cards with the same name and same rarity.

1 Hero card
3 Rare cards
8 Common cards
1 Token/Mana/Foiler card
Note: In 1 of 8 Boosters, a rare card is replaced by a unique card. 1 of 4 Boosters contains a foiler card.
